Instead of each side hiring their own experts and fighting against each other, Collaborative Divorce participants hire neutrals, in addition to their Collaboratively trained attorneys, to help guide them through the process. If experts are needed, they agree to hire the same expert instead of warring experts. By working as a team towards each party's goals and interests, divorce settlements are reached which achieve the best results for families and for their financial futures. Because the animosity is taken out of the Divorce Process, families are able to move forward more quickly, resulting in healthier children and parents.
Privacy, Transparency, Expediency
Because participants agree not to go to court and instead have meetings at their attorneys' offices, the Collaborative Divorce Process is completely private and confidential (whereas courtrooms are open to the public.) Additionally, as part of the Process, each participant agrees to fully disclose any and all information requested by the other. Usefulness of requested information is stressed over the production of information for embarrassment or harassment purposes.
